If You Don't Ask You Will Not Get An Answer!

As unusual as this sounds, we actually had several people call and say they didn't get an answer to their question here in the Club Support Forum. Hmmmm.... we asked "Did you ask a question?" and the answer was "No." So, our question was "How can you get a question if you don't ask a question?"

Please ask a question and we promise you that either a person from Specialty Software or another church will respond to your question! Everyone is friendly here and would like to help.

Now read on for how to use the Support Forum

We are providing a discussion Forum where clients can post questions about problems they encounter, or tips and tricks that other users might want to know about. Common questions and answers we receive in the discussion group are  moved to the F.A.Q., so you should also click on one of the following  links as your answer will probably already be there. But if the question is not in a F.A.Q, then please ask it here in this Forum as another person might have the same question.

bulletFAQ - Setup & Installation
bulletFAQ - Username & Passwords
bulletFAQ - Family & People Form
bulletFAQ - Giving and/or Pledges
bulletFAQ - Attendance
bulletFAQ - Enter Groups
bulletFAQ - Reports and Report Manager
bulletFAQ - Miscellaneous, Errors, Other Stuff

A Couple Friendly Guidelines Before Entering the Discussion Forum

There are a few guidelines that we request everyone to abide by.

The first is always be positive, polite, and helpful. The forum is not a place for gripping, negative comments or complaints, personal attacks on others, or foul and offensive language. This forum is staffed by volunteers and the focus is to be helpful. Over 99% of the people who will ever visit this forum are affiliated with a local church.

Having used forums and email  since 1983, we have observed that some people that would never be rude or offensive in person or over the telephone  sometimes have a change in personality while using a forum or email or chat room. So, this forum is not for personalities such as this. We are all here to be helpful to others that might visit this forum.

Our support department will be tuned in to this discussion as well, and will sometimes reply to questions posted here.  (Note: the EFA for Windows product is not officially supported by our support department in this forum, however other churches will hopefully attempt to help you with general questions and answers).

It is imperative if you ask a question in the Support Forum that the Subject line is stated correctly. Before you ever post your first question please read the following advice and you can then enter the Forum at the bottom of this page.

Correct Way to Ask a Question in the Forum!

When asking a question, or answering someone's question - the following information is required:

First Name: enter your first name... such as Joe

Last Name: enter your software Serial#...  such as Ser#9999

Note: please do NOT enter your last name... your serial# is required in this field.

Subject: enter a question up to 30 characters in length, such as: How To Best Enter Giving

Category: select either Question, Answer, Suggestion, or Other

Note: if you are answering someone's question, you need to select Answer!

Message: What is the quickest way to enter giving on a weekly basis? Should I enter by Name, or envelope?

Note: make sure you give detailed information in your question. Remember... the person reading your message can't read your mind or ask you a follow-up question. If your question is not clear, it will take longer before your question is answered - as someone will ask you to restate your question and be clearer.

If this is the first time you have ever entered the support Forum - you might want to read the 'Directions for Use' and also set your personal preferences in the 'Show Preferences' option. Both of these options will be in the Forum when you enter below.

Also, don't worry if you enter a message incorrectly... our administrator will fix or delete messages that are posted incorrectly.

Big Hint! If there is a question with more than Three answers, there will be a Scroll Bar to the far right of the Question that allows you to scroll up and down to see all of the responses. If you don't Scroll you will not see the complete thread of answers for that question. Use that Scroll bar with your mouse!

Now, enter and Enjoy!
